1+ Mln Crypto.com Users Now Get 40% Off in Over 2 Million Hotels Across the Globe

On Thursday, February 27, cryptocurrency platform, Crypto.com agreed a deal with world-renowned crypto booking platform, Travala, to allow its over 1 million users enjoy crypto payment option in 2 million hotels across the world with about 40% discount, a report has said.

As revealed in the report, Crypto.com and Travala became strategic partners via the deal, allowing CRO, Crypto.com token, to join the league of cryptos used for payment in millions of hotels across the world.

Via the Crypto.com Pay feature on Crypto.com App, users can make hotel bookings in 230 countries globally on Travala.com with cryptocurrency.

Aside the usual 40% discount users receive for booking accommodation with cryptocurrency on Travala, those who pay with CRO would get 10% payback reward starting from June 30, 2020. Previously, Travala had added the likes of BTC, ETH, XRP, TRX, LTC and some other 25 cryptos to its platform as a payment option.

Travala also allows users pay with Credit/Debit cards and PayPal, and claims to offers users an unbeatable price.

The CEO and Co-founder of Crypto.com, Kris Marszalek, said the development is part of the company’s vision to support crypto adoption across the world.

“At Crypto.com, we are continuously building an ecosystem to foster mass adoption of cryptocurrency.  Travala.com is a well-recognized brand in the crypto community and we are pleased to welcome them aboard to our expanding merchant network for Crypto.com Pay Checkout,” Marszalek stated.

Steve Hipwell, the COO of Travala.com, also addressed the partnership as a step to increasing the adoption of cryptocurrency and blockchain technology.

“We’re excited to partner with Crypto.com to further drive cryptocurrency adoption to the masses and make paying with cryptocurrency a norm and look forward to Crypto.com users joining our crypto travel movement and supporting crypto adoption by booking on Travala.com,” Hipwell said.

Recently, Travala.com recorded 33% growth in transaction with over 60% accounting for crypto booking. In December alone, the platform secured over 1500 bookings.
