Steemit has finally partnered TRON Foundation, and the largest decentralized blockchain-based social media and blogging platform is moving to the TRON Network.
According to TRON Foundation, Steemit and other Steem blockchain based DApps are moving to TRON blockchain.
The community of over 20 million users, products, and services will move to the TRON Network, making TRON ecosystem expand further after adding BitTorrent’s over 100 million active users to its ecosystem.
Previously, TRON has partnered with firms like Samsung, Poloniex, Opera, and DLive purposely to expand its ecosystem.
Steemit, which offers a Reddit-alike service built on top of the Steem blockchain, is one of the ecosystem with high number of DApps.
Steemit functions like Youtube alternative D.Tube, Instagram alternative APPICS, and fitness Dapp Actifit.
The blockchain network was founded by Ned Scott and Dan Larimer of EOS in January 2016. Steemit has over 800 Dapps now in its ecosystem and they are to be added to the TRON ecosystem.
According to the founder of TRON and CEO of BitTorrent, the partnership brings excitement to the TRON ecosystem
“Together we will usher in a new era of decentralized social networking,” says Justin Sun.
Today, NewsLogical wrote on the possibility of TRON acquiring Steemit. However, the foundation’s representative disproved the report, saying there was nothing like that at the moment.
