Opera, a web browser for Microsoft Window has announced its plan to add Tron’s TRX and other TRC-standard tokens to its web browser.

According to the announcement on Opera’s official website, the addition of TRX is purposely to enhance the inclusiveness of Web 3, in order to make the browser more satisfactory for the users around the world.

The integration of Tron (TRX) will give room for teeming Opera users (300+ Million)to access TRON games and TRON decentralised applications (DApps) while using the browser.

EVP at Opera, Head of Browsers, Krystian Kolondra, displayed displayed his excitement on the  new addition, describing TRON as a widely known and growing blockchain. He stressed that TRON has been noticed with its fast growing DApp ecosystem.

“TRON is a popular, quickly developing blockchain with a swiftly growing dApp ecosystem. We are happy to open our browser to it. By opening products to multiple blockchains, we are accelerating the mainstream adoption of Web 3.”

Justin Sun, the founder of TRON blockchain technology also disclosed his acknowledgement for the update, addition that it would exposed the digital currency to the hundreds of millions of Opera users.

“We are excited that Opera, a mainstream browser with hundreds of millions of users, will now seamlessly support TRX and other TRON (TRX) tokens,” said Justin Sun CEO of TRON.”Soon, Opera users will be able to use dApps on the TRON blockchain.”

Here Comes The Giant Stride For Tron (TRX)

Although Tron cryptographic project is a household name in the space, an addition from the world renowned browser cannot be overemphasized. Tron boasts of over 2.7M TRX accounts, about 3 million daily transactions and 400+ dApps built on its network, however, Opera has 300+ million global users.

The addition of Tron to Opera’s crypto wallet means, the altcoin will be opened to the users of the browser, and they will be permitted to use Tron (TRX) token and TRC standard tokens within the browser. Also, the integration of a new blockchain gestures an attempt towards building a future-oriented applications.

Another important point about this Opera is that the browser is listed on Nasdaq with the OPERA symbol.

Before now, ETH and ERC-20 tokens had been handed support on the Opera’s Crypto Wallet giving users the ability to spend the token.
