The IOTA Blockchain technology has in a recent development signed a framework of an agreement with Finnish tech start-up Heliostorage, aimed at implementing and developing an energy system for five Finland based Smart Villages.
Finnish tech start-up Heliostorage, an IOTA Tangle-based technology launched in 2016, developed for surviving during summer and to redeem heats for heating buildings during winter seasons with a unified water circulation pump.
The Start-up in their statement proclaimed that they have succeeded in replacing expensive hardware systems with Software which are rather cheaper, but in-term of data transfer and security, Heliostorage confirmed that it relies on IOTA and its tangle.
Heliostorage, however, went further to express its enthusiasm for IOTA blockchain technology, claiming that they promote IOTA through any available opportunity.
Among the project to be co-developed by Heliostorage and IOTA is the Arctic Smart Village aimed at further testing the capacity of IOTA Tangle in the implementation of micropayments, and Utajärvi ecovillage project for developing an energy-autonomous Village where abundant energy will be used for charging electric cars.
The first Smart Village project according to the collaborating companies is expected to serve as an introduction, as they both stated that its layout could be replicated in subsequent project locations.
IOTA partners US-Based Tech Company to facilitate traceability on Supply Chain
The IOTA foundation was earlier reported by NewsLogical to have signed a partnership with a US-based public company known as Zebra technologies, to facilitate traceability on the Supply Chain.
Zebra technologies, reported to be worth over $13 Billion in net worth known for tracking, production, and manufacturing of computer printing technologies, collaborated with the IOTA Foundation in a bid to enhance traceability in its Supply Chain.
The US-based tech giant as a means of establishing its Supply Chain traceability will be transferring all its scanned data into the IOTA tangle.
