70 years old Italian food brand, ICAB La Fiammante, has deployed VeChain’s traceability solution referred to as My Story™, co-developed by DNV GL.
Now, ICAB Group’s La Fiammante will launch on the blockchain traceability platform. The pilot project referred to as digital assurance solution for La Fiammante’s tomato products is based on the VeChain blockchain technology, designed to narrate everything about the Italian tomato products whose histories are saved step by step, and in an open and immediate manner.
The development, according to ICAB La Fiammante, is in continuation of its transparency mission. The latest tool shares data, practices and production choices of every products made by the firm.
Every steps of the supply chain, from farmer to consumer, will be stored on the blockchain.
La Fiammante says it selected the DNV GL’s My Story™ considering that it is reliable and among the world’s leading certification body. Information on ICAB La Fiammante will be available and verifiable on blockchain through My Story ™.
La Fiammante is a global leader in the canned food industry that has been in existence since 50’s. ICAB the group behind La Fiammante, has two other prominent historical brands La Reale and Paesana.

DNV GL and VeChain Since 2018
DNV GL, who co-designed the My Story™, partnered with VeChain in 2018. The two companies reached agreement to improve the openness of product and supplier information, an action that will increase the capacity of supply chains.
DNV-GL says it was adopting VeChain blockchain to help different firms build traceability and transparency of their products from production end to the consumer.
Signing the partnership agreement, Luca Crisciotti, CEO of DNV GL, said combining the internet of things and blockchain technology will make DNV GL to reinvent its assurance process through.
In 2019, VeChain and DNV GL showcased My Story™ digital assurance app at the Viva Technology, an international summit attended by 100,000 people.
Also, during the same year, VeChain and DNV GL partnered with d Norway in a Box to safeguard exported Norwegian fish through the digital assurance product. The three firms said they were working on a trust platform that makes sure high-quality products from Norway enters Europe without tampering them.
The partnership is also in collaboration with Norwegian seafood and will be the maiden products to go on the digital assurance platform. DNV GL continues to be a strong partner of VeChain as more firm adopts My Story ™.
