It is surprising to have such a huge amount transferred through a single payment to the organization’s account. The fund was donated to the BTC address of the Binance crypto exchange. At the same time, the person who made the donation is not revealed.
Since the establishment of the non-profit organization, 33.92 BTC or approximately $ 263,000, at the current rate of Bitcoin, have been transferred to the foundation’s account. To date, the largest donation is a transfer of $3 million by Tron CEO Justin Sun.
2/3 of the entire fund has already been spent on charity. What the new fund will be spent on it yet to be known. At the moment there are more than a dozen programs that support the Binance Charity.
Binance Charity Foundation is a charitable division of the Binance cryptocurrency exchange. The organization was founded in 2018 by the Binance Cryptocurrency Exchange Charitable Fund to improve conditions of life of the poor citizens in Africa, in particular, Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya, and others.
The system already accepts donations in BNB, BTC, and ETH. Everyone can send funds to the organization’s account and support residents of the poor countries. You can learn about current initiatives on the website of the organization.
Binance Efforts To Support Those In Need
Among the main efforts are the purchase of solar panels, providing students with school supplies, as well as women with personal care products.
In June, the Binance Charity Foundation signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to provide Uganda with a safe future. The collaboration will allow Binance Charity offer support to one hundred thousand children who need quality education.
Binance charity has implemented solar panels in Uganda. Recall that earlier, the company raised more than half a million U.S. dollars to help some impoverished persons in Malta.
Vice President of Uganda Edward Kiwanuka Ssekandi thanked Binance Charity for the solar panels.
Binance is already providing healthy meals to dozens of Uganda’s schools in Kampala and Jinja through additional donations from Tron and IOST.
Note, the Binance Charity Foundation has announced a new initiative to improve women’s health.
The foundation announced the creation of an alliance with 47 organizations to create a token focused on improving women’s health.
Famous names such as Ripple, Quantstamp, a smart contract security firm, and Blockseed Ventures are already participating in the women’s support program. Together, these companies will promote the specially created Pink Care Token (PCAT), aimed at improving women’s health in developing countries.
Note, the ultimate goal of the fund is to expand the project to educational institutions in Africa, Rwanda, Kenya, and Ethiopia to help one million children.
