Conflux, a state-of-the-art public blockchain system, has recently announced its partnership with ChainLink, a decentralized oracle network that connects smart contracts securely.
Going by a report made available by Conflux via its Medium page, the partnership is strategic and fashioned to enable secure connection between blockchain and non-blockchain world.
Obviously, oracles are essential due to the benefit of reliable data needed by Dapps to execute smart contracts once a predefined condition is met.
Conflux smart contract (on-chain) is powered by ChainLink’s oracle network, giving it the ability to interact with reliable and trustworthy information from outside the Conflux blockchain (off-chain).
In an outstanding way, ChainLink introduces full decentralization to the connections of off-chain to avoid unnecessary errors in the smart contract.
The report also added that the integration is made to create a stable and decentralized link between external data and Conflux smart contract.
As the Conflux ecosystem experiences consistent growth in terms of decentralized apps (DApps), there is a possibility for projects to widen their functionality to off-chain environment without bothering about scalability, decentralization, and security.
What to Expect in the Future
Before the dream of making DApps reach and impact many interested users in the world, the underlying layer needs a connection with off-chain data and systems securely.
Blockchains are more like being isolated networks with limited functionality (such as a computer without the internet) without off-chain connection.
This partnership is a major enhancement and the beginning of a bright future for mainstream adoption.
The connection will also improve the experience of the developers. According to the report, by collaborating with ChainLink, Conflux is no more far from its desired destination of bring the best out of the developers across the world.
