Kehu, a Shanghai-based business-to-business marketing startup that uses unique QR codes, WeChat mini-programs, and big data analytics, has partnered VeChain foundation to ensure transparency and accountability in packaging of goods, a Chinese news platform TechNode has said.

Kehu, among other major tech companies in China, is now shifting focus from consumer-facing services to business-to-business approach, hence offering customer relationship management (CRM) solutions for packaged goods.

Kehu signed a strategic deal with VeChain to use the latter’s blockchain application to ensure traceability in the supply chain management and anti-counterfeiting tracing to better its services.

While focused on achieving premium standard with blockchain technology, Kehu targets global brands in China as well as expansion to the world market in the future.

Kehu was instituted in the year 2016 with the aim of assisting companies to manage their B2B customers to ensure increased retention and deepened penetration in the market.

The B2B market is among the fast-growing sectors in China, and it was rated to have a gross volume of RMB 150.7 billion in 2017, data from iResearch reveals.

According to TechNode, the company recently rebranded from Madeforgoods to Kehu which means ‘Customer Lake,’ to ensure easy think back for its customers.

Within the B2B CRM market in China, Kehu focuses on providing solutions for packaged goods, industry-specific data and insights.

The co-founder and chief executive of Kehu, Thomas Morisset, claimed the company has ventured into sectors like alcoholic beverage brands, professional food solutions, industrial and building materials, among other companies that have great demand for managing customers.

Kehu works with over 60 brands including liquor brands, auto parts makers, food ingredient producers and industrial goods makers.

Morisset boasts that companies using Kehu’s solutions experiences an average 30% sales jump

“Through on WeChat mini program, we are expanding to a lot of new functions, such as customer services, a hotline, anti-fake measures, training, and promotions,” Thomas Morisset stated.

For quite some time, VeChain has been penetrating prolific markets in China, offering its blockchain technology as great solution to companies in the country.
