A commercial Bank in Bangladesh is now among the world’s top banks utilizing Ripple’s blockchain technology, a report confirming the total number of Ripple’s customers has said.
As revealed in a statement published by Ripple, the blockchain company is helping people to connect world’s top financial institutions with RippleNet and its customers across the globe have exceeded 300.
Bank Asia Limited, the commercial bank of Bangladesh with about $4 trillion worth of assets, is amongst the over 300 customers of Ripple using RippleNet to perfect their transactions.

Bank Asia Limited is a third-generation public limited commercial bank in Bangladesh. The bank has it headquarter in Dhaka, Bangladesh, and it was founded in November 1999 after receiving its certificate of incorporation in September the same year.
Under the banking ACT of 1991, Bank Asia Limited is a scheduled commercial bank in the private sector.
Ripple, according to the report, has its tentacles in over 70 countries of the world and it is adding one new country every week, especially with its newly launched On-Demand Liquidity product.
Ripple continues to enhance its reach in the south Asian region of the world. Ripple partnered SBI Remit to offers residents of Japan and Thailand instant remittance service.
Also, a global payment solution firm based in Southeastern Asia, InstaRem, joined Ripple to utilize the RippleNet solution.
