Pioneering payments platform, Crypto.com that offers alternative to traditional finance system with cryptocurrency, has announced the onboarding of a new general manager, Mariana Gospodinova, from Binance, a report has said.

Crypto.com stated that it will be bringing in the expert as its General Manager in Europe as she is equipped with the expertise of holding such role in that province.

At Binance, Gospodinova led the crypto exchange operation in Europe. She was also involved in the successful inauguration of the crypto to fiat exchange platform and some other initiatives within the Malta-based firm. She joined Binance in August 2018.

She started her career holding leadership roles in a number of Europe-based companies. Now Paysafe, Gospodinova headed the teams of payment professionals at Skrill across different countries. She also worked at SysPay.

Marszalek, in a statement, described Crypto.com as a platform with great reputation, assuring her dedication toward taking the company to greater height.

“With its focus on security and compliance, Crypto.com has built a great reputation with customers, regulators and industry partners. I look forward to utilising my experience to contribute to its growth as we expand rapidly in Europe across different product lines,” Gospodinova said. “It’s a true honour to be part of this team and work together to achieve our vision of ‘cryptocurrency in every wallet.’”

Commenting on the new hire, the co-founder at Crypto.com, Kris Marszalek, lauded Mariana’s expertise, stating that she is a rare example of a seasoned executive.

“I’m absolutely thrilled to welcome Mariana to the leadership team as we begin to scale our European business. We look forward to working together as a team to continue our efforts in being a fully-compliant industry leader to drive the mass adoption of cryptocurrency,” Marszalek said.

Crypto.com Adds Stellar XLM to MCO Visa Card Top-up Options

Yesterday, Crypto.com announced the addition of XLM to the MCO Visa Card top-up option. According to Crypto.com, it had earlier added BTC, ETH, XRP, LTC, PAX, TUSD and EOS to the top-up options. Hence, US MCO Visa cardholders now have the choice of topping up their card with 8 cryptocurrencies.

Crypto.com Adds Stellar XLM to Crypto Earn

Similarly yesterday, the payment platform declared that it has added Stellar Lumens’ XLM to its Crypto Earn program, giving users the opportunity of enjoying up to 8% p.a. on their deposits.

Crypto.com also enabled deposits and withdrawals of XLM on its application, a move that makes the number of coins supported on the application reach 17.
