DigiByte Blockchain, DigiByte Foundations and Antum ID have joined COVID-19 alert initiatives to increase public awareness on the killer virus while alerting users on the already identified dangerous zone.
The COVID-19 Alert, is a smartphone application working on reducing the spread of Covid-19 just by registering Bluetooth contacts of mobile telephones.
The app informs users in case they are at the risk of contracting the virus when they have come in contact with an infected person.
The app offers health authorities needed insight into the geographical spread of the virus thereby reducing the rate of people contracting the virus. DigiByte said it joined the initiative being an organization focused on helping humanity.
The application also assesses the risk level by monitoring and tracking points of contact with those with a confirmed case of COVID-19 infection.
As well, the app offers those with the symptoms with a questionnaire compiled using WHO standards.
The DigiByte Blockchain, DigiByte Foundations and Antum ID on joining the initiative, said they are happy to join the consortium of the privacy proof Covid-19 Alert App. The three are joining seven other respected organizations that partnered in achieving the responsible initiative.
