Electroneum’s effort to lift impoverished persons out of desperate and poverty-ridden situations has been extended to a Southeastern Asian country between the Indian and Pacific oceans, Indonesia.
Project Child, a children focused Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) in Indonesia, has declared it got a mouthwatering support from the England-based cryptographic project, Electroneum.
Per the release published by Project Child, Electroneum, as part of its mission to support and empower persons in developing countries, reached out to the NGO. Hence, Project Child said it is the first NGO in the country to receive cryptocurrency fund from Electroneum.
Electroneum doled out the undisclosed fund to the organization in order to support its cause. Project Child Indonesia works on alleviating poverty in disaster prone areas like coastal and riverside region of the country.
Project Child targets making every child in Indonesia have access to good education, health, and clean and secured environment prepared for natural disaster.
Aside the fund, the NGO mentioned that Electroneum makes them have access to fund without approaching the bank. Electroneum helps promote financial inclusion by making the unbanked persons participate in digital economy, the released has said.
Project Child said with the digital fund received from Electroneum, it can roam around freely and taste easy everyday transactions offered by digital currency.
Electroneum Partners WONDER Foundation
Previously, Electroneum announced its partnership with a UK based organization known as the WONDER Foundation, an NGO focusing on empowering females in continents like Europe, Africa, Asia, and Latin America.
The alliance between Electroneum and WONDER is targeted as catering for single mum, children, and girls in the above stated regions.
“Our partnership with Electroneum will give women and girls in countries like the Democratic Republic of Congo, Guatemala, and the Philippines the chance to access quality education, leading to good work. More than this, through personal support, they will be able to be agents of change in their own lives and communities: truly empowered women,” said the Director of Policy and Campaigns at WONDER Foundation.
Through the collaboration, WONDER Foundation was selected as Electroneum’s trusted miner in its mission to support the less previlege in developing countries.
