EMURGO, the official partner of Cardano, has just signed a deal with the government of Uzbekistan to form a blockchain taskforce by utilizing Cardano blockchain technology.
As revealed in a release published on January 30, the official commercial arm of Cardano foundation formed the alliance as UZNEX, a cryptocurrency exchange based in Central Asia, went live the same day.
The launching of the exchange was done by cutting tape at the exchange’s office at Tashkent central, the capital city of Uzbekistan.
Emurgo was fully represented by the CEO of EMURGO group, ken Kodama, and the CEO of EMURGO Japan, Meet Yoshida.
At the event, Mr. Yoshida had a private interview with the country’s official where issues about Uzbekistan’s taskforce and its future development were discussed.
After Yoshida was interviewed, a deal was signed to set up a blockchain taskforce. The taskforce is to be set up with the Uzbekistan government’s National Agency of Project Management (NAPM), the KOBEA group, and Infinity Blockchain Holdings.
EMURGO, Via the deal, would possibly utilize Cardano blockchain solution for infrastructure projects as well as expand the business framework unit with the task force.
The deal is regarded as the world’s first partnership between the Uzbekistan government and blockchain company in Japan.
Alongside Emurgo, the KOBEA group which was also present at the event would be saddled with the responsibility of rendering advice on digital asset banking and trading, and blockchain education units, among others.
The just-unveiled UZNEX, a virtual currency exchange is designed to also offer a Cardano blockchain-based educational platform for students and graduates of Uzbekistan science college. The platform also offers the government of the country advisory services for the development of various blockchain-based projects.
Uzbekistan is closer to launching the first Security Token Exchange in Central Asia and Emurgo would be participating as a consultant at the government level.
Also, due to the knowledge of the STO business that Emurgo has, the blockchain company would also be in charge of legislation.
