Latest inclusion for April Fool Day in terms of technology is here with Google. This year’s highlight for April Fool Day has directed the company with numerous resources to develop the most intricate and complicated design for Easter Eggs. Being a part of the festivities, Google Maps has always come up with new elaborate stuff on every occasion. After coming up with the restoration of PacMan in 2015 or “Where’s Waldo” in 2018, Google Map has now invited its users to start with the Snake game at the mapping service.

The game and its rules remain the same, much of it is unchanged. But Google extends a different visual effect with the game as compared to the snake game of Nokia 1997 edition. This time the length of the 8-bit snake increases with the person. So, the more the number of persons you pick up from different cities from around the world, the longer the snake grow. The snake game also depends upon the map on which you choose to play the game.

The user can even choose about seven 8-bit declared places while playing. The seven cities cover up Sao Paulo, Cairo, Sydney, London, Tokyo, San Francisco, and the World. Every map displays different types of trains, buses, and landmarks to let you pick up people from the route. For instance, if you choose London and cross the London Bridge, Big Ben, or Tower Bridge, and your “train” is a Red Double-decker, classic London bus, then you score a point for each person that you pick during your ride, and bonus coins for every next time you meet each other. The users get a reward for a break for black tea too.

If the user has chosen the world map, he can visit any country of his choice. But the country should have defining landmarks such as The Great Wall of China, The Taj Mahal or the Christ the Redeemer Statue in Rio de Janeiro. A very interesting point to note about this game is that even if you travel to any part of the world, you never get to board an airplane. You get to travel only by the means of “train”. It might appear funny to cross through the oceans in a train but that’s the way it is with this new game of Google Maps.

To begin the game, click open the Google Maps App in your cell phone or desktop, head for the Hamburger and tap on Play Snake option. The user can download the direct link on his phone or desktop too at snake.googlemaps.com.
