The Swell by Ripple 2018 Conference has come and gone, however its impact cannot be forgotten. One very remarkable summation that those who attended the conference are making is that Ripple killed possible future competitions and sold their tools to countless fintechs companies that are present.

Mere looking at those present, it is hard to doubt that Ripple has not completely captured the finance industry with its cross-border remittance tools, its partners and a damning report published by the company which was unleashed at the event.

Anyone looking to meet important personalities in the finance world should meet tonnes of them at the second annual Swell by Ripple (XRP) customer conference. The gathering witnessed talks from world respected people in policy, payments, and technology.

The conference which had 14 dynamic sessions, also featured 32 speakers who discussed the future of payments.

While Ripple customers shared ideas with the establishment of a new corridors on RippleNet, Ripple’s xRapid, the former U.S President Bill Clinton’s keynote address drew more attention from far and wide. Also, Banco Santander’s Head of Innovation Ed Metzger on One Pay FX, the first mobile app dedicated to achieving seamless cross-border payments with the use of RippleNet, was present at the event.

In the same line, Honorable Sunil Sabharwal, former alternate executive director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) was also present at the conference.

Another key figure at the event was former Ebay executive RJ Pittman. He tendered insights on why improving payments infrastructure will generate massive growth opportunities for the entire industry.

First Blockchain in Payment Report Released By Ripple

At the event, Ripple released the first Blockchain in Payments Report, an insight that denote Ripple has seen farther than its competitors and has prepared ahead with state of the art tools like xRapid, xVia and xCurrent.

With the launch of Ripple’s xRapid at the event, and the announcement of partners for the newly unveiled cross-border remittance tool, there is no doubt that Ripple is thinking every second on how to capture the whole industry completely.

SIBOS 2018: Will SWIFT Partner Ripple

There is a lingering rumour in the cryptocurrency space that Ripple and SWIFT will announce a partnership at this year’s Sibos organised by SWIFT. If the partnership is finally real, that means Ripple has completely achieved its aim. No doubt, all future and present competitors of Ripples (XRP) will have no choice than to surrender.
