Prominent Japanese university, Chiba University of Commerce, has introduced a NEM-powered energy utilization mechanism.
The electric power matching service, branded as ENECTION, puts Chiba University of Commerce ahead of other institutions in the country.
The introduced “ENECTION” is a renewable energy derived power matching service that will be used in at the school’s Ichikawa Campus.
Power in the campus has been completely switched to renewable energy. Chiba University owns a power plant in the city of Noda, Chiba.
The institution aims to be Japan’s first “100% natural energy university” with its decision to completely go renewable while also making use of other renewable energy sources as needed, centering on its feed-in Tariff (FIT) electricity.
The university has series of multiple solar power generation facilities that is centered on the mega solar Noda power plant that has an output of 2.45 MW, and it still has huge power generation potential that caters for the power consumption in the same institution.
Through ENECTION, the allotment of renewable energy are streamlined. The University aims to generate electricity that is equal to all the energy used in the university.
