Last Week (30th December to January 5) in Tron

In the just-concluded week that welcomed the New Year, the Tron ecosystem experienced notable developments, such as acquisition of DLive, a decentralized video streaming platform. The platform is now part of the BitTorrent ecosystem.

The integration will enable DLive to advertise its products and services via BitTorrent as well as for storage. The duo will be partnering to bolster products and services, with BitTorrent-owned video streaming platform, BLive merging with the incoming DLive.

Also, the integration will start utilizing the BitTorrent File-Sharing System (BTFS), a distributed file sharing and storage system, which is expected to aid its video content to move towards full decentralization.

Within that week, TRON SRs 50 Million TRX giveaway was announced, an incentive meant to encourage the ever-active SRs within the Tron ecosystem.

Additionally, TRON was recognized as China’s number 1 blockchain and top 100 blockchain enterprises in 2019. This award was named after the organizer, Jinse Finance.

Finally, in the past week, TRON total accounts reportedly exceeded 4.4 million. This capped the memorable week of great developments in the Tron ecosystem.
