TigerWit the official blockchain partner of Premier League football club Liverpool has announced today that it had received a financial service license from Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission.
According to the report, the license would enable the blockchain platform to be regulated within the Asian nation that is one of the biggest financial hubs in the world.
TigerWit would be looking to leverage one of the biggest financial markets and has set its sights towards improving financial institutions within developing countries. This latest license from Hong Kong adds to the TigerWit’s existing licenses from FCA and SCB.
According to the CEO of TigerWit, Tim Hughes, the license is crucial as the firm plans to add more financial solutions to its current portfolio in 2020. The CEO stressed that the authorization will grant TigerWit the ability to expand its operations as well as ensuring that its clients get relevant protections.
The Vice President at TigerWit also said the SFC license in Hong Kong will allow the company to penetrate the vibrant ASEAN markets.
