A face mask belonging to renowned cryptocurrency mogul and software expert John McAfee has been sold for $2,600 in Monero.

McAfee had earlier tweeted that he would be offering his one day worn face mask for sale. He claimed the mask manufactured by Intimissimi was worn by his wife @theemrsmacafee for one day to soften the fabric before he proceeded to protect himself with the mask for two days.

The crypto baron went on to give an assurance that the mask will be shipped alongside a letter of authenticity which will be cosigned by himself and his wife.

The former US presidential aspirant asked buyers to send in their bids for the used Covid-19 mask through mcafeecovidmask@protonmail.com.

However, McAfee after some hours tweeted to announce that the auction for his COVID-19 mask has closed and that the winner is @challengehaus, a crypto enthusiast who paid $2,600 in Monero, McAfee added that the buyer requested that the mask be shipped unwashed.

Mcafee Blows Hot On Recent Over $120,000 Twitter Hack

In another development, NewsLogical had earlier reported that the Software lord, John McAfee has spewed his opinion on the recent Twitter hack which saw accounts of celebrities in the crypto space and the world been hijacked to perpetrate Bitcoin give away scam which claimed over $120,000 in BTC.

NewsLogical reported that the unceremonious but yet chaotic Twitter hack which took place on the 15th of July, 2020, would remain unforgotten by cryptocurrency lovers and investors, Nevertheless, McAfee was of the opinion that the microblogging platform’s security Achilles heels are weak.

He pointed out that Twitter’s security Achilles are based on 2FA (Two-Factor Authentication), an Achilles heel which he claimed exposes users data to minor SIM swap hacks, SIM swap hack remain a common theft technique which has been effectively used by mischievous hackers to rob traders and investors of their earnings.

Twitter CEO, Jack Dorsey, has also sometimes ago been a victim of SIM swap hack which led to a twenty-minute compromise of his Twitter account.
