The latest info in town for XRP enthusiasts especially those who are music artists is that their music projects can now be exchanged for XRP digital currency, courtesy of music marketplace xSongs.

Going by an article published by Craig DeWitt, a Ripple’s board member, the music marketplace now allows song creators to sell their digital content in exchange for XRP cryptocurrency.

The marketplace, xSongs is specifically created for musicians. It enables them to receive revenue for their hard work via peer to peer (P2P) payments, with the Ripple’s digital token XRP in full functionality for liquidity.

According to the information made available in the exclusive article, the music marketplace xSongs is still in Beta phase, and tools like wallet, song uploading, and management tools are still under construction.

The purchasing side of xSongs will be activated as soon as enough songs are successfully uploaded and the building of the front end of the marketplace is accomplished.

The said front end is where songs are enabled for interested buyers. The update has it that the purchase of songs is expected to get activated in a few weeks’ time.

Process for Uploading Music on xSongs

Setting up the XRP wallet is the first and unavoidable step to take, which precedes uploading of songs. The wallet is meant to serve as a means for song copyright owners to get paid after a purchase is confirmed on the marketplace.

Payburner, an integrated payment system built on XRP Ledger, will serve a major purpose in this regard according to the update. By visiting www.Payburner, users will be prompted to create a Payburner account. Payburner is said to be the API that spearheads the creation of xSongs.

All XRP received from the sale of songs on the marketplace will be managed by using Payburner. The same account created on the API will be used to gain entrance into affiliated sites, such as xSongs and XRP Games.

What Follows After Creating Payburner Account

Once the Payburner account is successfully created, users can proceed to xSongs with the same account details created on the Payburner.

According to the report, once the above is followed, the peering of the users’ new wallet and the xSongs uploading service will be done by following few steps made available on the website.

After the peering of wallet with xSongs is completed, users that have their songs uploaded will be liable to receive the full payment of any of their songs sold in XRP. In a nutshell, this will simply open the digital token to more liquidity, as many song creators would be interested in leveraging on the use cases offered by XRP.
