More acquisition is underway for BitTorrent, the CEO of the firm has announced. The acquisition, which is to be publicly declared in the next 3 days, will also benefit TRON (TRX).
BitTorrent was acquired in July 2019. After BitTorrent was acquired by Justin Sun, the entrepreneur says the acquisition makes the TRON ecosystem the “largest decentralized Internet ecosystem in the world.”
Justin Sun, who acquired BitTorrent, arguably the maiden decentralized file-sharing platform with 100 million active users, makes it clear that the new acquisition for BitTorrent will be announced in three days’ time, urging both TRON and BitTorrent users to stay tuned for the announcement.
At the moment, it is not clear if the acquisition is going to be the much-speculated Steemit, which many rumored to be the next target for Justin Sun and his projects.
A Chinese native news platform once published that Justin Sun was planning to acquire the blockchain-based content distribution platform.
Justin Sun did not refute the statement at the time, however, Nadav Dakner, CEO of InboundJunction & Marketacross, a PR and media group representing TRON told NewsLogical that information was fake, cooked, and misleading.
Meanwhile, the Chinese platform revealed it was informed by an in-house source that Tron is about to acquire the platform.
It is known that TRON and Steemit are official partners. At the 2018 niTRON summit in San Francisco, TRON Foundation named Steemit, Oracle and some others as partners.
