VeChain-based DNV GL’s application MyCare, developed to help companies assess, manage and alleviate infection risk during their management and business operation, has been adopted by an international cruise and ferry company Color Line to help mitigate the spread of infection during this pandemic period and beyond, a release has confirmed.
The Norway’s largest ferry company with 6 ships along the Norway & Denmark, Germany & Sweden shipping routes, adopted the VeChain-based solution to help ensure a safe trip for passengers and its officials as it begins back its sailing operation.
DNV GL said it has authenticated Color Line’s infection prevention processes through the VeChain-based infection assurance application MyCare. With the assurance to sufficiently keep people safe and remain compliant to local regulations, the company is ready to operate its 6 vessels across the four routes and other associated terminals.
This is coming on the heels of numerous adoptions the VeChain-DNV GL codeveloped blockchain application has recently received. In the last few days, companies like InterContinental Hotel Group, with over 5,000 hotels in 100 countries, and one of the world’s largest steel manufacturer ArcelorMittal steel company have adopted DNV GL’s MyCare methodology for infection prevention.
Before now DNV GL already announced the deployment of the VeChain-based solution into the maritime industry to let its customers return back to work safely and with esteem assurance against infection.
Color Line is excited to have adopted MyCare solution for verification as the first company in Norway to have done that. The company is now sure that its ships and terminals are safe for employees and passenger, a statement by the Color Line’s Compliance officer, Anette Aaser-Stene, reveals.
For optimum assurance, trust and integrity, Color Line said the details of the DNV GL’s assessment statement bestowed on the company are stored on blockchain technology.
To confirm the safety of Color Line via the assessment statement, passengers can search online or onboard for the “My Care – Infection Prevention Ready trust mark” and the QR-code embedded in the trust mark will reveals the statement.
DNVGL’s Business Assurance Sustainability & Training Manager in Norway, Lin Jacobsen Hammer, felicitated with Color Line on the new achievement, revealing that this shows the commitment of the ferry company towards ensuring compliance with infection risk management measures.
