OKEx CEO Sets to Donate Cryptocurrency to Support Australian Fire Victims

OKEx CEO, Jay Hao, has decided to join the support the world is presently giving Australia at the time when historic fire outrage spreads over the land.

As the Australian disastrous fire ranges with devastating deaths of both humans and various kinds and species of animals, tons of donations to support the Australian government and the victims of the unfortunate incident have been raised across the world.

Many notable individuals and institutions have single-handedly came out to donate according to their financial capabilities.

Cryptocurrency enthusiasts are also seizing the opportunity to showcase the utilities embedded in it by deciding to be part of the donation using digital tokens.

OKEx CEO to Donate Cryptocurrency to Support Australian Fire Victims

Prior to OKEx CEO, Jay Hao’s kind gesture, a female WWE superstar Peyton Royce, had earlier tweeted and captioned the graphic photos of the present situation in Australia and the catastrophic impact it has on humans, infrastructures, animals and natural resources.

In her tweet, she reported that over 23 people and 500 million animals have so far been burnt alive in the distressing fire. She added that the fire could still continue since summer is still in 55 days’ time.

She said, “These images are so incredibly distressing but it’s our reality right now. Beyond heartbreaking. 23+ people dead, 1/2 a billion animals burned alive, homes destroyed & still 55 days left of ‘summer’. PLEASE donate where possible every little bit helps!”

In response to her condolence, Jay Hao, the CEO at OKEx responded by stressing how heartbroken he’s with the situation in Australia. He then demanded the platform that receives funds in the form of cryptocurrency, indicating his readiness to support the government and the people of Australia.

He said, “The fire in Australia breaks my heart. Any donation platform receive  Cryptocurrency? Kindly let me know! I want to help too.”

Bitcoin Other Crypto Address for Donations Now Available

Since the issue of the Australian raging fire began, cryptocurrency enthusiasts have been to able gather momentum in convincing others to join in donating to the course of restoring Australia. And a Bitcoin address has been made available to this effect.

As soon as the address was brought to the public notice, Bitcoin donations reportedly started flowing into the address. According to Alex Sanders, the CEO and Co-founder of Nugget’s News, other cryptocurrency addresses made available in this regard are already receiving funds in numbers.
