Blockchain platform Ontology has partnered with German university Hochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft (HTW) University towards blockchain education. Both parties have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to explore joint research and teaching initiatives within the blockchain industry.
The terms of the partnership include a tailored fellowship degree program based on the core aims of the Ontology blockchain with a view of developing a number of blockchain applications. Students from HTW would have the opportunity to explore concepts like smart contracts, token economics and the digital economy.
The educational exchange will be facilitated through the Ontology Blockchain Academy arm, where Ontology will be the exclusive blockchain and Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) provider used over the course of the academic year.
HTW Students to partake in the development of three D’Apps
Furthermore, HTW students will also participate in the development of three unique Proof of Concept (POC) projects in a bid to solve real-world issues. The three D’Apps include
GreenVote- an app targeted at improving the voting process in a bid to make it more accessible, cost-efficient and secure.
Refuchain- geared towards supporting local authorities and refugees within the asylum process.
H2 Organizer- an app developed to connect household with water suppliers in a bid to improve the process making it transparent and efficient.
Ontology continues to commit towards its quest towards accelerating the delivery of blockchain education on the global stage. The platform aims to target students within reputable institutions who are keen to explore the potentials of decentralized technology.
The partnership with HTW is a huge one for the blockchain project as it is Berlin’s largest university with almost 14,000 students.
Ontology continues to partner with different industry leaders
Ontology has moved at a fast pace with partnerships in the past month. The blockchain platform recently entered an agreement with Flipside Crypto to improve the transparency on its blockchain network.
Ontology will deploy, Flipside Crypto’s suite of analytical tools that would help the blockchain platform access key data in areas such as customer behavior and other related activities.
This partnership was announced days after it was revealed that Ontology blockchain would be integrated with the supply management system of New Energy Delivery firm Kaiyun Delivery.
