A Singapore-based start-up specialized in the manufacturing of soft vinyl toy, CenturyFugu, has announced the launch of its novel VeChainThor-enabled collectible on Platform x chain (PXC), an e-commerce firm that focuses on selling blockchain-enabled toys & collectibles.
The collectible is the first artist series of CenturyFugu, and it has 9 pieces of CenturyFugu X Marmit desugoj series with a PXC NFC chip tag. The collectible is an NFT that is based on VeChainThor blockchain.
To help secure the authenticity of the collectibles, VeChain blockchain technology was deployed. VeChainThor allows for immutable logs of product and ownership change from the creator to the buyer.
The immutability of the blockchain network helps secure the market value of the collectible, as it also helps guarantee the genuineness of the product with unique and changeless non-fungible digital attributes.
CenturyFugu said it would be launching the lottery sale of the collectible at 10 pm Singapore time tonight, July 20.
After the launch of the collectible, users who buy the digital toy asset will be allotted a wallet to enable ownership transfer of the asset, and the transactions are based and monitored VeChain blockchain network.
Platform x chain (PXC) went live on 30th of April 2020 at the 8th Thailand Toy Expo. At the event, CenturyFugu announced partnership with PXC as the first adopter of the e-commerce platform.
The e-commerce company collaborated with VeChain to integrate the blockchain’s one-stop BaaS data platform. To guarantee the ownership and authenticity of listed products, PXC employed VeChain ToolChain as its Blockchain-as-a-Service (BaaS) platform.
Aside CenturyFugu, a number of other brands and creators like Japan-based Marmit Co. and Mandarake Co, and Machination Studios in Singapore have adopted the platform as a marketplace for their products.
Platform x chain is designed to be a place that let brand owners market their original toys & collectibles products to the world in a secure manner with the use of encrypted smart chips that let buyers verify the authenticity of the products they are about to purchase.
Earlier in December 2019, Bamboo Labs, the company behind the creation of Block Babies collectibles announced its non-fungible tokens (NFTs) Block Babies collectible on VeChianThor platfrom as one of the first collectibles to sign up with VeChain.
