Tiffany Hayden, one of Ripple and XRP’s strongest supporters, has said a spam attack nearly disrupted the effectiveness of XRP Ledger.
Tiffany had previously made an announcement leaving the XRP community on the ground that Ripple Labs Inc., the firm behind the adoption of XRP, failed to do the needful in spreading the usage of XRP but rather get involved in indiscriminate selling of the digital currency to its collaborators.
She made this claim before finally selling off her XRP holding. The sell-off happened at a time the world perceived Ripple’s action was targeted at negatively impacting the price of the digital currency XRP.
At that time, Tiffany claimed she sold all her holdings and won’t be joining the XRP community again.
“I’m not holding $XRP anymore, XRP supporters, so find something else to talk about,” she said at the time.
Tiffany, like others, is disturbed about the price of XRP.
Few hours ago, Twitter users again raised the widespread allegations that if XRP is finally declared a security, banks across the globe may sue Ripple Labs Inc.
Tiffany responded to a user who questioned why Ripple decided to sell to XRP to the public when it is not meant for the public.
Responding, Tiffany said, “XRP is for public use”. However, she said it’s unfortunate that the public failed to use the digital asset. She added that after over six years, the issue has not been seen as a concern.
“It’s just that the public doesn’t want to use it. You’d think after 6+ years this would be a concern, but for some reason it’s not….”
Tiffany said “there’s barely any infrastructure” on the XRPL.
“Without any affiliation to Ripple, why lay down infrastructure on a network that doesn’t guarantee voting rights when other networks have the infrastructure already laid and voting rights?”, she questioned.
Tiffany who said she invested 7 years of her life invested fund in XRP claimed that the XRPL almost halted. The former supporter did not reveal the reasons behind the issue but said the problem was averted by some superheroes on the network.
Observers interpreted her claim to be around the validators. Her concern was said to be on the limited validators that nearly caused the XRPL to fail.

XRPL almost halted. It came close enough that it seems disingenuous to brag about it never halting, especially when it was held up by just a few superheroes who went without sleep for like a week. Not a decentralized or sustainable activity.

Ripple CTO, David Schwartz, separately responded to Tiffany’s claim, saying “a real man should be about to set his woman straight?”

David latter said Tiffany’s claim is “technically valid” but overstated. He said he suggested months back that a robustness improvement changes will increase the safety margin significantly.
“The current design trades off robustness for safety, the reverse of what most blockchains do,” he said.
David said he agreed with Tiffany that the ecosystem is not as diverse as “we’d all like it to be.”
