The remanent of Tron (TRX) project after leaving the Ethereum ERC20 network has called for another token burn, resulting in the destruction of about 13 million Tron ERC20 token, an announcement has revealed.
As revealed in a translated Baidu post, Tron foundation yesterday carried out its 12th batch of TRX destruction after recovering part of its ERC20 Token. A total number of 13786420.786607 TRX were burnt in the process.
The token destruction happened at around 08:53:13 AM + UTC yesterday, January 9, 2020. Tron Foundation had in the past destroyed TRX token 11 times, making this the 12th attempt.
For confirmation of the latest TRX token destroyed, here is the transaction record: https://etherscan.io/tx/0x6e704d3c935ec9e1bfb5d8cbe102fb4065051b89ca88baa8f9420176f432d19c
The whole burning activities began after Tron’s successful migration from Ethereum’s ERC20 ecosystem on June 25, 2018, when it launched its mainnet and commenced token migration.
In the previous destruction, 99,284,216,554.49950 ERC20 tokens were been burnt, representing about 99% of the overall TRX in circulation. 4 of the destruction took place in 2019 while the rest of the burning activities happened in 2018.
Since the migration, Tron main network has been stable and working effectively to the tune of making tremendous progress in the Dapp sector. Also, since migration, Tron has been an ardent competitor of Ethereum blockchain network as promised, but the former is nowhere near the later in terms of market capitalization.
Justin Sun Mocks Donald Trump
The tweet by President Donald Trump Thursday morning generated lots of condemnation from twitterratti after observing that the US president made some typos when he asked how “409K’S” are doing instead of 401(k) retirement accounts.
The tweet was deleted and replaced:
“STOCK MARKET AT ALL-TIME HIGH!” Trump tweeted. “HOW ARE YOUR 409K’S DOING? 70%, 80%, 90% up? Only 50% up! What are you doing wrong?”
However, it has generated lots of uproar within the crypto space, resulting in people mocking the president. One of those who joined in the mockery is TRON CEO, Justin Sun, who said TRX price target is 409k.
