After the declaration that Binance Blockchain Charity Foundation (BCF) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) are in partnership to back the use of blockchain technology for social good, Tron (TRX) blockchain technology today declared that it is glad to support Binance BCF in its course, and be part of the partnership.
This was issued out in a statement where the founder of the entertained focused blockchain technology, Justin Sun, congratulated the CEO of Binance on the latest achievement.
Before now, Binance (BNB) and Tron (TRX) had been known as strategic partners in the crypto space. The two blockchain firm, according to investigations made, were established in the same year, and they both have office in Singapore.
Blockchain Charity Foundation (BCF) To Bridge UN’s SDG Funding Gap
Initiated by Binance, the Blockchain Charity Foundation, at the 73rd UN General Assembly, claimed that will be donating $1 million to UNDP to contribute to the goodwill of the organization.
According to the release, the events which was co-hosted by BCF, Finance Center for South-South Cooperation (FCSSC) and the Women Political Leaders Global Forum took place in New York.
With the use of blockchain technology, the nonprofit organization, BCF, backed by the Cryptocurrency exchange with the largest trading volume, is working to achieve the UN 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Added to the announcement, Tron blockchain technology will be supporting the course.
“Tron is looking forward to collaborating with BCF to contribute to SDG achievement with industry leaders worldwide”, Justin Sun said.
The head of Blockchain Charity Foundation, Helen Hai believes while working hand in hand with the UNDP to exterminate poverty and bring wealth to deprived people through empowerment, the use of blockchain technology will go a long way tackling social problems in the society.
The Director of the Regional Bureau for Asia and Pacific at the UNDP, and the Assistant Secretary General of the United Nations said the organization is elated with the move from BCF, as it can help solve some of the challenges faced in Asia and Pacific.
Earlier at the ‘Blockchain for Social Good: Utilizing Blockchain to Aid Economic Development’ seminar, the decentralized charity platform of BCF was unveiled. At the symposium, the foundation also displayed the tracking of fund pathway from the donor to beneficiaries.
