Tron Foundation recently announced that TRON network’s new incentive mechanism has finally gone into effect. The effort of the SRs to grow TRON community is duly noted, and this has called for the allocation of 50 million TRX rewards as a means to encourage them to subsequently put more effort in the interest of TRON ecosystem.
This decision was made after the adoption of №22 and №27 Proposals. Justin Sun, the CEO of Tron also acknowledged the effort dispensed by the SRs in a tweet where the new development was made public.
About the Qualified SRs
The eligibility for the 50 million TRX giveaways will be limited to the TRON SRs who are GRs. The report says that the deadline was 30th November 2019, coupled with the clarification that the cryptocurrency exchanges or staking providers are excluded from the said incentive.
The rewards will be shared among the SRs according to the percentage of blocks belonging to each SR against the entire blocks generated since the Genesis Block by all involving SRs. This indicates that the rewards will be distributed according to the performances of the participating SRs.
The Process of Claiming Rewards by Each SR
Regarding each SR attempting to claim his/her rewards, SRs need to formally submit claim requests to TRON Foundation using Google Sheets. These claim requests include but not limited to the team information, their impacts on technological innovation and ecological construction. In a nutshell, this submission speaks about their contributions to the growth of TRON ecosystem.
Any SR guilty of undermining the TRON community will completely lose its right to the rewards. The announcement of the reward will follow the distribution of rewards.
All SRs that scaled through will by default receive his/her rewards via their current block generation. Any SR that necessarily needs a change to the receiving address is advised to reach the TRON Foundation via email, attaching the cogent reason for the change.
What Could Disqualify SRs
At this stage, the application for rewards is closed, but some SRs can still be disqualified before the distribution of the rewards. The review of each application sent by SRs will reveal those who failed to make the deadline but still submitted. The report says they will be disqualified.
As aforementioned, SRs with no contribution to the growth and development of TRON community or had once acted maliciously will face disqualification.
TRON Foundation has processed comments and appeals received, which brought the first round of comment time to an end, preceding the commencement of the second round.
