2018 was hell for most of us, traders. Undeniable! It was a challenging year that had seen our predictions blow up right on in front of our faces consequently damaging our trading reputations severely! For some, it robbed us most of our grand investments. Dreams shattered!
Unfortunately, the Bear that existed was attributed to the turbulence in the cryptocurrencies markets where they lost almost 80% of their value within a very short duration. As if some had not suffered enough, several governments (Different nations) decided to infringe (probably) on the rights of their traders by posing outrights bans on ICOs and cryptocurrency trading. Absurd, right?
Now that we are in 2019, I’m still scared; scared about the emerging issues that might pop up later, the new trends that Blockchains Technology might adopt and even the new developments that might be introduced regarding CIOs (Though I’m not sure about you).
Back to where we were.
Phewks! 2018 Has Ended
Let’s now focus on what’s important, the future (Optimistic). Will most companies and traders that had invested still stall their projects or kick off more to skyrocket their earnings come 2019? Will the Crypto market strive to regain the stability that was seen back in 2017? Or will it still be subject to the previous Bear market? Scary!
The time has come. Insight is a now must-have in 2019 or even beyond. It’s time to be equipped. The earlier, the better! Let’s have a look at how things might change come 2019; have all ears
Blockchain Improving its Image?
Bet you’re aware of Blockchain’s reputation by now, that is, if you’ve been in this industry long enough. No harm if you aren’t. Let me hit the nail on the head; its reputation isn’t that solid, I guess it’s still pathetic. By solid, I mean top businesses and investment firms embracing its technology without second thoughts.
Okay, the fact is that they’re currently skeptical about it; worried that it’s too much into cryptocurrencies more so bitcoins.
That is where they all got it wrong. But what if I told you that the industry might work on its tainted image and filter crypto from Blockchains in the minds of the leading and upcoming businesses and investors?
I mean brainwashing and helping them see the plethora of uses that Blockchains have apart from just being applied to currencies. Bet you’re now envisioning the growth in the use of the technology if this is bound to happen.
If not, Blockchain Technology will still be doomed! It might remain stagnant. I’d rather not even talk about that.
But, wait. Maybe here’s the solution.
The new name, Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) might neutralize everything and restore the hype that once there. This shift in the terminologies is perhaps the ideal cure.
Names such as Cryptocurrencies have dominated long enough and certainly; they’ve changed everything and our thinking.
Its high time people’s brains are fed with facts, not rumours.
The rise of New Business Models
The Blockchain influence is still growing, and more companies are always asking Blockchain gurus what it entails, how can they use it and the impact that it has in streamlining organizations processes and enhancing efficiency.
Some, though still reluctant, will find themselves among the many companies that are now experimenting it.
I envision even traditional companies fitting and realizing their potentials through Blockchain technology. As they learn new lessons, we’re expected more positive results when they adopt it wholeheartedly. This can be likened to the survey initiated by the International Data Corporation.
They backed up Deloitte Global Blockchain Survey which saw close to 40% of the employee in various organizations affirming that their businesses will set close to $5 million or even more to invest in this prime technology.
As Blockchain is continuing to advance, it’s gaining more momentum from the government, regulators and even lawmakers. The General Data Protection Regulation, introduced in Europe, is already a sign that it is becoming widespread and soon, Blockchains will be accepted globally in 2019.
More regulators and lawmakers ought to sprout to ensure that they secure the future of Blockchain Technology.
I believe that more revolutions are yet to come and they’re prone to impact positively on our world. Do you?
