The growth of the crypto market has been marred by the overpowering forces of the bear as Bitcoin drops to below $8,000, a psychological support indicated as a barrier for the leading crypto.

Nevertheless, crypto coins like Cardano and Tezos remain strong against the first known cryptocurrency in the year 2020.

The massive plunge that made the entire crypto market to lose $26 billion from its market cap has also seen XRP purge its growth against Bitcoin in the year 2020 after a strong start at the beginning of the year.

Tezos and Cardano, the 10th and 12th largest cryptocurrency, continue to maintain their paces against Bitcoin as displayed since the start of the year.

Tezos and Cardano are among the top year-to-date gainers in the market, this is in spite of the global financial plunge that also hit the crypto market. The two coins remain profitable to their investors in the year 2020.

As presented on Coincodex, Bitcoin presents about 7.8% added value in 2020, Cardano’s value is up by over 24% while Tezos possess a maximum growth of 85+%. These values made the two cryptocurrency strong against Bitcoin in their year-to-date added value.

Earlier in February, the CEO of Ripple blockchain firm, Brad Garlinghouse, lauded the performance of XRP against Bitcoin, saying the cryptocurrency performed excellently against the largest cryptocurrency by market cap.

“XRP has outperformed BTC and the broader crypto market in 2020. XRP is up 44% (19.1 to 27.5) vs BTC’s 33% (7,100 to 9,500) so far this year,” Brad stated.

As the market turmoil lasts, XRP has 7.77% year-to-date added value. For Tezos, the year has been outstandingly great for the Proof-of-Stake cryptographic project. Tezos, in its race up the crypto market ladder, ousted TRON and Cardano from the 11th and 12th positions.

Afterward, LINK, a digital token that proved to be one of the best performing cryptos in the year also bowed down to the zealous upward rally of Tezos, handing Tezos the 10th position.

At present, Tezos is priced $2.50 having shed out 12+% from its value. Cardano, on the other side, is also not in a bad position considering its starting value of the year.
