Here comes another great news for VeChain. The world is going digital, and VeChain blockchain is among the eminent technologies used in different industries to better the world.

On May 13th 2019, VeChain declared a partnership with Chinese-based Renji Hospital, which records over 2.1 million emergency cases and outpatients yearly.

Through the collaboration, Renji Hospital will be joining the Digital Carbon Ecosystem, co-developed by VeChain and DNV GL, to ensure an ecofriendly environment.

The Digital Carbon Ecosystem deal was officially announced at the Sino-Norwegian Cultural Exchange Day, a section of the 175th Anniversary Ceremony of Renji Hospital. The agreement was sealed by Renji Hospital, VeChain and DNV GL, while some other important three personnel also featured as witnesses.

The Vice President of Renji Hospital (Ms.Wang Yu) and Commercial Counsellor at the Royal Norwegian Embassy (Mr. Knut Roald Sørlie) kick-started the signing ceremony with opening remarks.

While the latest development heightened the relationship between DNV GL and Renji Hospital from certification business level to digital carbon ecosystem, Knut sees the deal as a hinge that connects Norway and China in the field of health care.

He said the Digital Carbon Ecosystem is the first of its kind innovation in medical sector used in addressing climate change, adding that it will assist the hospital in upholding UN’s sustainable development goals.

Mr. Zhang in his own remark said with the use of Digital Carbon Ecosystem Renji will begin to inspire people to participate in carbon reduction which will help sanitize the environment and ensure sustainable lifestyle.

The partnership, according to the release, is seen as a win-win scenario. Renji records 57,000 inpatients and over 28,000 operations yearly, and it is affiliated to Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine.

However, with the reputation Renji has been able to build in a country with such a huge population and ever-increasing demand for quality medical care, Vechain – DNV GL solution (Digital Carbon Ecosystem) is sure of witnessing mass adoption as it brings forte greener lifestyle.
