VeChain is partnering with some big firms to service a hospital with over 38K outpatients in Cyprus.
VeChain revealed it partnered with I-Dante to co-develop a blockchain-based Medical Data Management Platform for some healthcare providers in Cyprus, a country with a great affinity for blockchain technology.
The two firms co-developed the medical data management platform dubbed E-NewHealthLife in a bid to modernize the country’s healthcare data system.
At first, the platform will service Cyrpus-based Mediterranean Hospital managed under the healthcare system of the General Healthcare System of the Republic of Cyprus (GHS). The popular and big hospital has 38K outpatient visits in 2019 and 300 employees.
The E-NewHealthLife is powered by VeChain ToolChain and the Web App that is to be used in the hospital’s emergency unit has been launched in the first phase.
According to VeChain, the Digital Healthcare Passport is an encrypted NFC Card that is designated to patients, serving as their identity in the emergency room during registration and beyond.
Through the E-NewHealthLife Web App, they manage their data easily and offer the hospital necessary information.
The app renders services to hospitals and end-users at the same time, and is in full compliance with the GDPR.
Owners have complete possession of their profile and medical records that can be used to access their medical status and history.
Data can be shared with a third party on the permission of the patient and not on the authority of the hospitals or even VeChain.
The decision by VeChain to link up with different firms and help them solve their problems collectively is reflected in this collaboration.
The hospital making use of the e-Health platform is the first to join the Cyprus’ General HealthCare System (GHS). The app is a collective work of I-Dante, a firm founded in 2019 by Italy-based Software company, Etna Digital Growth, CircleServus LTD, a consultancy firm in Cyprus and VeChainThor Blockchain.
VeChain has reputation in San Francisco, Hong Kong, Paris, Shanghai Luxembourg, and some other countries.
