The official launch of the XRP ledger-based banking app XUMM has been announced. As related in an announcement by Fiatleak, the beta version of the application is now live.
XUMM helps eliminate third party interference, as it launches a beta version which provides customers with the chance of obtaining services from a local bank.
Fiatleak.com reported that there is high hope that the new version would promote the general use and adoption of XRP, hence a plus for Ripple.
The application works as a wallet as well as a crypto payment app. This is intended to introduce more benefits to the XRP community at large.
The XUMM application is one of the products of the XRPL Labs Inc. developers. In a quest to help the Ripple community with innovations, Ripple’s commercial arm Xpring invested in the firm.
Earlier, it was declared by Weitse Wind, XUMM developer, in a statement that the application would be launched on the two most important mobile applications platforms, Google play store and iOS App store.
However, the latest announcement confirms that the beta version of the app is now live on the platforms.
Weitse said the application would be coming with new and intriguing features that would make life better for users.
Nevertheless, the developer issued a note of warning to potential users as per the amount of cryptocurrency they should deposit into the app at the moment.
He advised users to be minimal with the amount XRP they deposit, urging them to desist from using the XUMM beta version for high-value account for the time being.
Although the XRP ledger-based XUMM app has undergone series of testing by a satisfactory number of developers, still 100% fund security cannot be guaranteed at the moment since it is still in the beta stage, and some issues might not have been noticed.
